About the Event
This Range Safety Officer course will define the role of RSO and its functions at ranges, firearm events, and other shooting sports activities. Students will learn the purpose and function of a SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Students will learn and demonstrate knowledge of the proper procedures of inspecting a range prior to live fire, emergency procedures, along with how to safely unload guns, correct stoppages, and clear malfunctions. Students will learn, create, and demonstrate conducting a range safety briefing.
In order to receive the RSO, a student must be 21 years of age and they must attend both full days. Students have to achieve a score of 90% or higher on the final assessment. This is a full two-day course, so students must appear on time and plan to stay for the full duration of the course. Failure to do will result in your disqualification, without any possibility of refund.
